A.F.S. Enterprise successfully completed the engineering design and installation of complete air brake systems on twelve Ballast Hopper Wagons for CKST DC2 & DC3 Joint Venture in support of the Den Chai–Chiang Rai Double-Track Railway Construction Project.
The project involved the complete design, fabrication, installation, and integration of a new pneumatic braking system for each wagon. Every unit was equipped with a dedicated air reservoir tank, brake pipes, control valves, air hoses, pneumatic fittings, mounting brackets, and all associated braking components, professionally integrated into the existing wagon structure while maintaining reliability and ease of maintenance.
Following installation, all twelve wagons were upgraded from conventional vacuum brake operation to a dual brake configuration, enabling compatibility with both vacuum and air brake railway systems. The completed fleet provides improved operational safety, enhanced braking performance, and greater flexibility for ballast transportation and railway construction activities.
This project demonstrates A.F.S. Enterprise's expertise in railway engineering, brake system design, rolling stock modification, and turnkey railway equipment upgrading, delivering customized solutions that meet modern railway operational standards.
